ACTION CALL: Legislative Interference

BACKGROUND:

Our “Republican” supermajority legislature is doing everything it can to shut down the people’s paper ballot movement. SB250 (written by Secretary of State and filed by Senator Kim Hammer) places restrictions on our right to use paper ballots. Specifically, the bill (1) REQUIRES the use of voting computers for the initial count; (2) it REMOVES state funding for the ballots; and (3) it places an undue BURDEN on counties by placing a 24 hour limit on counting. This bill is a slap in the face to conservatives who support election integrity.

ACTION:

Contact the sponsors of SB250 (below). Tell them you vociferously oppose SB250. We have texted them the following, but please use your own words. Feel free to incorporate points above:

“SB250 is problematic at best. It restricts our right to paper ballots and each county’s right to employ them. Let the process play out and allow each quorum court to decide what is best for their county WITHOUT the additional restrictions of SB250.”

You can read the bill here:

Mike Lindell even mentioned SB250 on TV Friday night:

SOLUTION:

Arkansas is in need of comprehensive election reform. If the legislature is serious about election integrity, they should immediately consider and pass these bills. Proposed bill 7, starting at page 35, specifically addresses paper ballots.

$60 Billion In COVID Fraud? Try $4 Trillion

As auditors and congressional investigators try to figure out just how much federal COVID relief went to fraudsters, they are missing the trillions of dollars in fraud committed by the federal government itself in a war that we had no chance of winning.

Last week, the Government Accountability Office reported that fraudsters took in about $60 billion in unemployment checks. That’s on top of the tens of billions in fraudulent claims made through the Paycheck Protection Program, the tens of billions handed out through a Small Business Administration program, and on and on.

This Wednesday, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability will hold a hearing “to investigate rampant waste of taxpayer dollars in COVID relief programs.”

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the chairman of the committee, said “we owe it to Americans to identify how hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars spent under the guise of pandemic relief were lost to waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement.”

That’s all well and good. But what we really need is an investigation into how the war against COVID wasted trillions of taxpayer dollars, imposed massive disruptions, handicapped millions of students, and probably didn’t save many, if any, lives.

That sort of investigation, if done honestly, would likely conclude that we would have been better off if we’d done nothing at all beyond asking people to wash their hands and stay home if they’re sick.

ACTION CALL: Quorum Courts

We now have contact info for JPs in all 75 counties. Tell them, “I support a return to paper ballots in _________ County. I do not trust voting computers.” Be sure to contact every JP in your county. Remember, they all work for you, the taxpayers.

These are links to the compiled contact information. Click the link for your county. Then, you’ll need to email and / or text each JP on the list. Remember, leaving comments on this page is fine, but we do not submit your comments for you. It is best that they come from individual voters.

If you would like to see one or more of these bills passed, please contact your legislators THIS WEEKEND. Reference the bill #s in your text or email and say “SUPPORT.” As always, be polite and succinct. We believe most of the Republicans favor these bills, but they are hearing primarily from opposition. Please reach out and encourage our legislators.

Who to contact in order of priority:

First, the Republican committee members (see links above).

Second, your OWN State Senator and State Representative. (see Contact Lists): https://reopenarkansas.org/contact-lists/

Third, contact the remaining Republican members of the House and Senate (see Contact Lists) https://reopenarkansas.org/contact-lists/

We apologize for the volume of action calls, but the session is moving very quickly, and your legislators need to know that conservatives have their back. More will follow soon. Always check the pinned post.
