Calvary Chapel Victory

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that Calvary Chapel, a church in San Jose, California, that refused to close during the pandemic will not be required to pay more than $200,000 in fines that were imputed against them. This is a massive victory for religious freedom as other public places such as grocery stores were not held to the same restrictions in California as places of worship. Pastor McClure of Calvary Chapel refused to comply with California’s tyrannical mandates imposed on his church and congregation.

The Court of Appeals ruling states:

As we have discussed, we understand the United States Supreme Court in its most recent rulings to have clarified that public health orders placing capacity limitations on indoor public gatherings that have the effect of restricting indoor worship services are unlikely to survive strict scrutiny under the Free Exercise Clause where the same capacity limitations do not apply to all types of indoor secular activity, notwithstanding that secular indoor gatherings are also restricted. (South Bay II, supra, 592 U.S. _ [141 S. Ct. 716]; Tandon, supra, 593 U.S. at p. [141 S. Ct. 1294].)”

As the U.S. prepares to transition from the acute phase of the pandemic, the Biden administration will stop purchases of COVID-19 vaccines, treatments, and tests as early as this fall, the White House COVID response coordinator Ashish Jha said.

“My hope is that in 2023, you’re going to see the commercialization of almost all of these products. Some of that is actually going to begin this fall, in the days and weeks ahead. You’re going to see commercialization of some of these things Jha said Tuesday at an event sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

The availability of these products will shift to the regular healthcare system. Therefore, those who need a vaccine or antiviral therapy will get it from their doctor or a hospital, Jha explained.

According to Jha, the transition to commercialization will begin in the fall, but it will be more visible next year.

Those local governments set salaries for their administrators, teachers and staff. Like all governments at all levels, some manage their people’s money well, and some don’t. The richest school district in Arkansas, by far, is Little Rock. And yet, its starting teacher salary was $36,000 (the state’s current minimum), while its per pupil total expenditure was $17,665. For perspective, Arkansas average starting teacher salary was $36,598, and average total per pupil expenditure was $12,936. Reforming your local school district is hard. Blaming the legislature is easy. Inform yourself and hold your local elected school board members accountable. And if your administrators and/or board members are telling you it’s the Legislature’s responsibility, they know better and are using you.

On July 23, 2022, Dr. Tedros of The World Health Organization overruled his own special advisory committee to declare a state of emergency regarding the spread of monkeypox. The lack of consensus among the WHO special advisory committee notwithstanding, President Biden followed suit, and officially declared a public health emergency on August 2, 2022.

With this comes the push to vaccinate with yet another untested, unsafe vaccine. Monkeypox has been around for decades and is not an easily transmissible virus. Yet, at-risk persons are being encouraged to receive a vaccination which the CDC has no safety or efficacy data on.
