Another FOIA case won by private citizen

It can become expensive when cities, counties, or schools ignore FOIA requests. The system works better when everyone follows the law.

This month, the city of Branch was required to pay $1125 in attorney’s fees, $167.50 in court costs, and to reimburse an individual $265.68 for charges they illegally imposed in complying with a records request.
